Utica, NY (2-25-13) – The Utica College men’s 200-yard medley and freestyle relay teams were named the College’s Athletes of the Week for their performance at the UNYSYCA/Empire 8 Championships in Ithaca, NY this past week.

The Pioneers shattered three school-records over the course of the four-day tournament.  On Wednesday, the 200-yard medley team including freshman Raphael Warnon, senior Scott Wanner and sophomores Kaleb Bright and Anthony Farber tallied a record time of 1:40.96 before coming back on day three in the 400-yard medley and grabbing another record clocking a 3:42.66 and finishing 12th.

On Thursday, sophomore Collin Hart partnered up with Farber, Bright and Warnon for a record time of 1:31.37 in the 200-yard freestyle as they placed 20th in the preliminaries and fired back with an 11th place finish topping their preliminary mark with a clock of 1:30.80.

UC wrapped up the UNYSCSA Championship field in 14th place while sixth in Empire 8.  Utica wrapped up their 2012-13 regular-season campaign with an overall record of 3-7.
