Cheerleading
The Cheerleading Team practices several times a week and cheers at home football games in the fall and home basketball
games in the winter.

Dance Team
The Utica University Dance Team provides spirited entertainment during men's and women's basketball games. The team is student directed and choreographed.

Fencing
Jan DeAmicis, having fenced with the club for several years, currently serves as coach. The club participates in tournaments throughout the year, and several individual fencers have medaled in the Empire State Games. The club meets Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the dance room at Clark Athletic Center.

Karate
Karate instructor Dean Gordon, a six-degree black belt, has enjoyed teaching Seito Shitoh Ryu -- a Japanese style of karate -- at Utica University for 21 years. This sport is offered as a credit course, and those who complete the class are encouraged to become club members. There are tournaments in the summer where members can advance their skills in individual competition.
