Mary Miceli of the women’s basketball team was named the College’s female athlete of the week for her performance last week.
Miceli had 27 points, nine rebounds, four steals and an assist against Alfred on Tuesday while shooting 11 of 18 from the field, 2 of 6 from 3-point land, and 3 of 4 from the free throw line. On Thursday against Stevens she had five points, three steals, and two rebounds.
Earlier this season, Miceli became just the 11th player in program history to score 1,000 career points, and one of six players to have 100 + career three pointers (141) … With her three 3-pointers last week she moved into second place all-time on the school’s 3-pointers made list.
The Pioneers (6-5 overall, 1-1 Empire 8) return to the court when they host Hartwick College on Tuesday night. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m.
