Utica University Athletics

UTICA, NY – Freshman Shawn Lynch of the Utica College men’s hockey team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the week on Monday.
 
Lynch had two points in Saturday’s game against Manhattanville including the game-winner in overtime with 17.1 seconds left to play. He also tallied an assist in UC’s 2-1 OT victory. Lynch’s two points were his first two collegiate points of his career.
 
The Pioneers (11-8-3, 5-5-2 ECAC West) are on the road this weekend as they travel to Elmira College on Friday and Saturday. Both games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
