UTICA, NY – Freshman hurdler Jessica Ciraulo (Schenectady, NY / Mohonasen) of the Utica College women's track and field team was named the College's Co-Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 27.

Ciraulo was named Rookie of the Meet at the 2011 NYSCTC Indoor Track & Field Championship hosted by St. Lawrence Saturday. She won the women’s 55 meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional cut time of 8.47 and placed second in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.61.

On the season she has recorded eight top three performances, including three victories, four second-place finishes and one third-place finish.

She also earned Empire 8 Women’s Indoor Track & Field All-Conference Second Team honors in the 55-meter dash, 55-meter hurdles and the 200-meter dash.

The Pioneers will return to the track on March 4 when they travel to the Armory in New York City for the ECAC Championships.
