UTICA, NY — Sophomore Oliva Hirschy was named the Utica College Female Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Hirschy had a big weekend totaling five points for the Pioneers leading them to a 2-0 weekend against Lebanon Valley. On Saturday she scored a career-high two goals in a 6-0 shutout. She finished off the weekend with a goal and tied her career-high with two assists as UC completed the sweep on Sunday.  On the year, she is tied for the team-lead with eight goals.

The sophomore currently has a total of 12 points on the year after scoring just seven in her freshman season. She also has a shot percentage of .129 which is the second best on the team.

The Pioneers are back in action as they host the visiting Monarchs of Kings College (P.A.) This will be the final tune up before the UCHC Quarterfinals. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
