Bristol, R.I (11/08/10): The Utica College men's cross country team posted a 27th place finish at the ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships Saturday at Colt State Park. The Pioneers combined for a finishing time of 2:25:28, and the average time for each individual was 29:05, as they earned a total of 712 points.
Freshman
Eric Stevens (Rome, NY /Holland Patent) was the top finisher for the men's team and placed 94th overall with a finishing time of 28:17.10 and averaged 5:41 per mile in the 8K. Junior
Stephen Dagata (Central Square, NY/Paul V. Moore) finished 149th overall, and second on the Pioneers, with a time of 29:05.52 and an average mile time of 5:51.
Senior
Mitch Boise (Earlville, NY/Sherburne-Earlville) placed third for the Pioneers. Overall he finished 160th with a finishing time of 29.20:80. His fellow classmates,
Joseph Geniti (Fonda, NY/Fonda Fultonville) and
John Webb (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango) had overall finishing times of 29:22.10 and 29:22.53 which was good for 163rd and 164th overall.
Sophomore Steve Sodotto finished 212th with a finishing time of 30:28.22 while junior
Derek Seminaro (Utica, NY/T.R. Proctor) was placed 215th overall with a finishing time of 30:30.00.
For the women's team, senior
Kristyn Galbraith (Ballston, NY/Ballston Spa) finished on top for the Pioneers in the 6K with a finishing time of 26:36.06 which was good for 132nd overall. Freshman
Cate Houshower (Delanson, NY/Lansingburgh) finished 214th overall with a time of 28:33.19.
The Pioneers will conclude the 2010 season on Saturday, Nov. 13th when they compete in the NCAA Atlantic Regionals.
