UTICA, NY (2-27-12)- Sophomore Jess Ciraulo of the Utica College women’s track and field team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 5.
Ciraulo, a Schenectady, NY native , won the 60-meter hurdles at the NYSCTC Championships at Hamilton College, Saturday. She posted an ECAC qualifying time of 9.11, which was .02 away from the conference record. Ciraulo also placed eighth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.30.
The Pioneers return to the track Friday as they head down state for the ECAC Championships held at the Armory Track and Field Foundation in New York, NY. Friday's events are set to begin at 2 p.m. while Saturday's are scheduled for 10 a.m.
