Utica, NY (10/15/12)- Senior Michael Herberger of the Utica College football team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week, Monday.

The Amherst, NY native totaled seven tackles, including 2.5 for loss as the Pioneers defeated Frostburg State 41-0 on Saturday.  He also had two sacks for 19 yards on the day.  Herberger is now in sole possession of fourth place on the College’s all-time sack list.  On the season, Herberger has 26 tackles and seven tackles totaling 36 yards lost.

The Pioneers are 4-2 on the year and 2-1 in the Empire 8 Conference.  They return to action Saturday as they travel to Oneonta for a conference contest against Hartwick College.  Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
