Junior forward Chasity Eckert of the Utica College field hockey team posted five points over the course of two games on her way to being named the Utica College Female Athlete of the Week on Monday. 

Eckert helped guide the Pioneers to their second consecutive 2-0 start after wins over Cedar Crest and host St. Lawrence.   On Saturday, she had two goals to lift Utica over Cedar Crest, 8-1.  On Sunday, she assisted on the game-winning goal as UC defeated St. Lawrence 3-1.

Eckert doubled her career goal total as she recorded just two goals in 17 games played last season.

The Pioneers (2-0) return to the field on Friday when they wrap up a three game road trip.  This time they will square off against host Morrisville State at 7 p.m.
