Utica, NY (3/10/14) - Trent Jacobs of the Utica College men’s lacrosse team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for his performance in two games this past week.

Jacobs recorded nine points in just two Pioneer victories last week. On Thursday in a 14-4 win over SUNY IT, he netted two goals on ten shots and added an assist. He also scooped up one ground ball in the game. In a 16-6 win over Manhattanville on Saturday, Jacobs lit up the scoreboard with four goals on just six shots and added two assists for a career-high six points. He also grabbed two ground balls in the game. On the season, Jacobs is shooting an impressive 37.5% (6-16).

Jacobs is currently fourth in the conference in goals per game (3.00) and 11^th in assists per game (1.5). With nine points in two games, he is third in the E8 in points per game (4.5).
 
The Pioneers return to action Tuesday when they travel to Hamilton College to play in the annual Contineer Cup. Face-off is set for 4 p.m.
