Utica, NY- Senior volleyball player Laura Homer-Gunther has been named the Utica College Female Athlete of the Week for her performance last week.
 
In five contests Homer-Gunther totaled 36 kills, eight aces, 25 digs, and a team-high 18 blocks. She totaled an impressive .529 hitting percentage on the week and did not commit a single hitting error. 

Homer-Gunther leads the Empire 8 with a .491 hitting percentage. She was also named to the All-Tournament team at the SUNY Potsdam Tournament.
 
The Pioneers will return to action this weekend as they travel to the Oswego State Invitational. UC’s first game of the weekend will start at 4 p.m. on Friday against Oswego State.
