UTICA, NY – Senior Alex Finnegan of the men’s lacrosse team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week after his performance in last week’s games.

Finnegan had eight points off of four goals and four assists against SUNY Poly and Brockport State last week. He helped the Pioneers get their first win of the season against SUNY Poly finishing with two goals and two assists. Finnegan led the team with two goals and two assists in Utica’s loss to Brockport State. He currently has a team-high 14 points (five goals and nine assists) this season.

The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday, on the road against Keuka College at 4 p.m. … The team will remain on the road for their first conference game of the season against Ithaca College on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
