Sophomore Kaitlyn Stinson of the Utica College Cross Country team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week after her strong performance in the Pioneers season opening meet on Saturday at nearby SUNY Poly.

Stinson, in her first collegiate cross country race, placed second overall in the meet and first on the team, with a time of 17:01.  The Pioneers finished fourth out of the 12 teams at SUNY Poly, led by Stinson.

Utica travels to Vassar College Saturday to compete in the Ron Stonitsch Invitational at 10:45 a.m.
