UTICA, NY- Utica College senior sprinter Nicodemus Gambill was named the Utica College Male Athlete of the Week after his performance at the Pioneer Invitational on Saturday.
            Gambill won both the 60 meter and 200 meter dash on Saturday.  He broke his own facility and school-record in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.87.  He added a season-best 22.12 to win the men’s 200 meter dash. It was only the second time Gambill has run the 200 meter in 2017.  In his first 200 meter race of the season he also won with a time of 22.49. 
            Gambill currently holds the fourth fastest times on the NCAA Division III Indoor qualifying list in both the 60 meter and 200 meter dash. The wins bring his total up to six first place finishes and 31 victories in the finals of individual events for his career at Utica College.
            The track and field teams will be back in action on February 4th, as the teams travel to compete in the Bomber Invitational at Ithaca College. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
