UTICA, NY -- Junior swimmer Phoebe King of the Utica College swim and dive team was named the College's Co-Female Athlete of the week for her performance at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships last week.

King broke four school-records during the championships last week. Individually, King set a school record in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:58.68 and in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 54.28. Her relay team also broke school records in the 400 yard freestyle with a time of 3:46.55 and in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:43.83. She also set a season’s-best time in the preliminaries of the 50 free with a time of 25.25.

Throughout the course of the season, King racked up eight individual victories and four victories with her relay team. King currently has her name written in the school-record books seven times throughout her career at UC.

The swim and dive team finished their season with a 6-8 record which is the most victories they have earned in the past 10 seasons.
