Senior JT Ross of the Utica College baseball team has been selected as UC’s Male Athlete of the Week for his performance in the Russ Matt Central Florida Invitational.
In eight games Ross had a .500 average while scoring ten runs and tallying eight RBI’s. Against Trine University, Ross went 6-for-6 with four doubles, four runs scored, and six RBI’s. The six runs batted in are the most by a Pioneer this season. During the trip in Florida the Pioneers went 2-6. On the season, Ross is leading the team with a .538 average, 21 hits, six stolen bases, and 13 runs batted in. He is also second on the team with 13 total runs scored.
The team is back in action on Saturday for a double header at Elmira College. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
