Utica, NY – Olivia Hirschy of the Utica College women’s ice hockey team has been selected as the UC Female Athlete of the Week.
 
In just one game of action last week, Hirschy scored two goals to lead the way for the Pioneers as they defeated Hamilton College 3-2 on the road. Her first goal came early on in the second period, as it opened up scoring for the day to give Utica a 1-0 lead. With the game tied at 2-2 in the third period of play, Olivia would go on to record her second goal of the day to secure the win. She has now scored five goals on the season, as the team is currently 9-0.
 
The Pioneers are on the road Tuesday for a matchup with Morrisville State College. The puck will drop at 7 p.m.
