Utica, NY – Ka’Sean Watlington of the Utica College men’s track and field team has been selected as the UC Male Athlete of the Week after finding great success at the Empire 8 Championships over the weekend.
 
Watlington was named the Empire 8 Field Athlete of the Meet, as he got it done in multiple events for UC. He won the conference title in the triple jump event, leaping a distance of 14.55 meters. Ka’Sean also ended up placing second in the long jump finals with a mark of 6.87 meters.
 
He even qualified for the finals round of the 60-meter dash, clocking in at 7.19 to come in fifth. Watlington would score a total of 20 team points for UC at the meet.
 
The Pioneers are now preparing for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Championships this weekend, hosted by Ithaca College.
