Utica, NY – Lexi Scaccia of the Utica College women’s lacrosse team has been chosen as the UC Female Athlete of the Week for her performance last Friday.
In a close 10-9 win over SUNY New Paltz, Scaccia was all over the field, filling up the stat sheet. She finished the game with three goals, three caused turnovers, four ground-balls, and secured six draw controls. Mid-way through the second half, Lexi scored what would become the game-deciding goal to improve UC’s record to 2-0 to begin the year.
The Pioneers will now begin a five game road trip, starting off Tuesday at Skidmore College at 7 p.m.
