Utica University Athletics

Utica, N.Y. (9/27/10) – Senior Lindsey Jester of the Utica College field hockey team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 26, 2010.  Jester netted the game-winner in the 55th minute to help the Pioneers defeat Stevens for the first time in program-history Saturday.  The win snapped Steven's 17-game conference win streak.  Jester also added a goal in the Pioneers' 3-1 loss to Geneseo Wednesday. 

She is currently tied for the team lead with 10 points this season on a team-high four goals and two assists. 

The Pioneers are currently 4-4 overall and they are undefeated in conference play with a 2-0 record.  UC returns to action on Saturday when the Pioneer travel to Ithaca College for a conference contest at 1 p.m.
