Utica, NY - Sophomore forward Regen Cavanagh of the 11th-ranked Utica College men's hockey team has been named UC Male Athlete of the Week for his stellar performance during the Adrian series last weekend.

Cavanagh notched his first three goals of the season in this series, two of which came in overtime to secure a UC victory over the seventh-ranked team in the nation. He also added one goal in the Sunday game and one assist in each contest. The Chesapeake, Virginia native now has three goals and four assists on the season.

UC men's hockey will return to action this Friday, as it travels to SUNY Oswego for a non-conference matchup at 7 p.m.
