Bennett Melita has been named a Pioneer Athlete of the Week for the week of November 18th.

Melita had a historic weekend at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regionals, placing ninth in the race and receiving the top individual berth to the NCAA Men's Cross Country National Championships. Melita finished with a total time of 25:13.8, with the only runners finishing ahead of him being from Geneseo and NYU, two teams that received team berths to the National Championships. Melita will be the first Pioneer in program history to attend the National Championships when he heads to Terre Haute on Saturday, November 23rd.
