Utica University Athletics

Head Coach John Nigro has led the men’s and women’s tennis programs since 1987. Heading into his 38th season at the helm, Nigro boasts the most coaching experience out of any current coach at Utica.

He teaches tennis classes at Utica College during the academic year and he is an assistant professional at the Paragon Racquet Club in New Hartford. He is a former teaching professional at the Hopman Tennis Academy in Saddlebrook, FL.

Nigro gives individual lessons in the off-season and he has helped develop several local tennis talents at both the high school and collegiate level.
