Laura M. Casamento Field
Opened in fall 2021, Laura M. Casamento Field provides a multipurpose outdoor venue for Utica University athletics and campus recreation. The $4 million facility features a 360-foot by 225-foot turf field surrounded by an eight-lane outdoor track, expanding the University’s space for athletic competition, training and recreational activities.
The turf surface accommodates football, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse and softball. A press box, full sound system, digital scoreboard and NCAA-compliant lighting system support practices and events, including evening activities. In addition to serving the Pioneers’ athletic teams, the facility is available to Utica students, faculty and staff.
Construction was made possible by a $2 million gift from Lauren ’74 and Cora Bull, along with estate gifts from Lotis Beckwith Howland, Bernard William Sullivan Jr. ’61 and Wilson H. Tyler ’69. Their contributions helped create an additional resource for both Pioneer athletics and the broader campus community.
