The Utica College volleyball team fell to local rival SUNYIT Wednesday in all three matches 15-25, 8-25, 11-25. Utica came close to winning the first match but couldn't prevail.
Freshman
Stephanie Dew (Boxford, Mass. /Masconomet) led the way for the Pioneers with five kills and two block-assists. Sophomore Mimi O'Hara also had a good game compiling seven assists and eight digs. Junior
Aundrea Dorie (Mount Markham, NY /Mount Markham) finished with one kill and six digs.
The lady Pioneers are back in action this weekend when they travel to Oswego for the Oswego Tournament. The action starts on Friday at 6 p.m. when they take on SUNYIT, Utica hopes defeat the Wildcats this time around.
