UTICA, NY- The Utica College athletic department announced Tuesday that thirteen teams earned a combined GPA of 3.00 or better for the Fall 2016 academic semester.
 
94 student-athletes earned a grade point average of 3.75 or better; with 24 student-athletes earning a perfect 4.0 GPA.  The department's cumulative team grade point average was 3.04.
 
The 13 Utica College teams with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average include: men's hockey (3.59), women's tennis (3.35), women's lacrosse (3.31), women's hockey (3.29), women's cross country (3.26), women's basketball (3.22), women's soccer (3.13), women's swim & dive (3.13), women's track and field (3.11), women's golf (3.11), water polo (3.03), baseball (3.02), and volleyball (3.00).

This marks the sixth consecutive semester that the department grade point average is high than a 3.0.  The men's hockey and women's basketball programs have now earned a team GPA of 3.0 or better in 10 consecutive semesters, while the women's hockey program has compiled a 3.0 or better in nine straight semesters.

Since the Spring of 2015, 361 student-athletes have recorded a GPA of 3.75 or high and 84 of those student-athletes have earned a perfect 4.0.
