ROCHESTER, NY - On Wednesday morning, the Empire 8 released its Spring 2025 President's List, a prestigious honor which was collected by 164 Pioneer standouts. These athletes displayed excellence in the classroom and achieved a semester-long GPA of 3.75 or higher. Their contributions to the university and the student body cannot be understated, and they've overcome the challenges and massive commitment of being a student-athlete to achieve top marks in their various programs.
 
The university bested its total of 162 recipients for the Fall 2024 iteration of the honor, getting 164 to narrowly beat out the fall semester total.
 
In addition, Utica University posted the fourth-most Empire 8 Spring 2025 President's List recipients in the 12-team conference, setting a standard for academic excellence among its peers.

The Pioneers also brought in a stellar amount of team success, contributing heavily to the Empire 8's record 190 teams that achieved All-Academic status. 17 Pioneer programs achieved a team-wide Spring 2025 GPA of 3.20 or higher, taking home Empire 8 All-Academic Team recognition. Additionally, men's hockey achieved the highest team GPA of any Empire 8 men's program, with their 3.80 beating out all other men's teams in the conference.
