Utica, NY - The Utica College Women's Tennis team topped the Hartwick Hawks 6-3 on Sunday afternoon for its third win of the year and its first in the Empire 8.

Freshmen Morgan Willis (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) and Camryn Sullivan (Camden, NY/Camden), along with senior Bianca Bockhaus (Shenorock, NY/Somers) junior Elma Selimovic (Utica, NY/T.R. Proctor), all posted singles victories to give the Pioneers a 4-2 lead heading into doubles.

Senior Madeline McIlnay (York, PA/York Suburban) and Sullivan took second doubles by a score of 8-6, while Bockhaus and Selimovic followed suit with a convincing 8-0 win in third doubles to secure the victory.

The Pioneers advance to 3-8 on the season with this win, and will close out the year this Saturday on the road at Nazareth College with a 1 p.m. start.
