ROCHESTER, NY - Twenty-six members of the Utica University track and field program have been selected to Empire 8 All-Conference teams, as announced by the conference on Monday morning. 18 men and eight women earned Empire 8 All-Conference honors after their impressive seasons.

Zuriel Wright (Parlin, NJ/Sayreville War Memorial) was named Empire 8 Field Athlete of the Year after his career season. Wright and Mackenzie Mix competed at the NCAA Championships and both had terrific seasons in their respective events. First Team selections include

Shane Tinney (Oriskany, NY/Oriskany) was named Empire 8 Sportsman of the Year and Gabrielle DeSanctis was named Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen/sportswomen.
