ROCHESTER, NY - Freddie Callo (Milton, NY/Marlboro Central) and Jordyn Davis (Hempstead, NY/Uniondale) have captured a pair of Empire 8 weekly Football honors after their standout individual performances in Saturday's 35-20 victory over St. John Fisher.

Callo picked up the Empire 8 Special Teams Player of the Week for his showing on Saturday. The Pioneers kicking specialist had a perfect day from the spot on Saturday, going 5-for-5 on his extra point attempts in the Pioneers' 35-20 win over St. John Fisher. In addition to Callo's spotless kicking performance, he also excelled at pinning Fisher deep in their own territory, with two of his three punts landing inside the opposing 20-yard line. The Senior special teamer averaged 45 yards per boot in the contest, two more yards than the highest average punt distance held by any player over the course of the Empire 8 season. He also flipped the field masterfully, even recording a punt of 51 yards in the Pioneers' season-finale victory. This is Callo's first honor of the season.

Davis achieved the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts on Saturday. The Sophomore was a massive disruptor during Saturday's 35-20 victory over St. John Fisher in the Pioneers' regular-season finale. Davis enforced his will at the line of scrimmage during the matchup, breaking through for 3.5 sacks, costing the Cardinals 31 yards of offense. He also forced a fumble during one of his QB takedowns. Davis finished with six total tackles to go along with 3.5 sacks. This is also Davis' first honor of the season. 

Callo and Davis are the ninth and tenth player respectively to earn individual recognition this season, with nine different players winning Empire 8 awards and a single player, John Stroughn (Baldwin, NY/Holy Trinity), being named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.
