UTICA, NY - Utica University's women's golf team is set to conclude its fall season by competing in the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Fall Preview. The event will be held on October 22nd and 23rd at Camillus Golf Club with tee times set to begin at 11:00 am. The event will cover two days, with each team playing one day. Utica joins St. John Fisher and SUNY Cobleskill in the group to play on Monday, the 22nd.
Camillus' Course: The Pioneers will enter uncharted territory on Monday, as no Utica women's golf team has competed at the course in the last decade. The ladies tees at the curse total 5,419 yards, and are rated a par 73.
Closing the E8: The Pioneers' last event, the Empire 8 Fall Invitational, was held last weekend, October 12th and 13th, at the Teugega Country Club. The team placed fourth in the team scoring, tallying 223 strokes over the two days.
Alaina Weaver (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit Valley Central) led the team both days, turning in scorecards of +24 and +16. On both days, the rest of the team scoring followed the same order, with
Claire Draper (Watertown, NY/Watertown) placing second best among Pioneers,
Jordan Dorrity (Constableville, NY/South Lewis Central) placing third, and
Paige Graves (Syracuse, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) placing fourth.
