UTICA, NY - At the Empire 8 Conference Championship, Bennett Melita (Johnstown, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) finished 1st overall with his 25:34.2 finish time. This pace was 24.2 seconds faster than the second overall runner. Melita has now placed 1st overall in three events this season as he eyes an NCAA postseason push.

Melita will now look ahead to NCAA Regionals on November 15th. The event will be hosted by the University of Rochester, with action set to begin at 10:00 am.
