Men's Indoor Track & Field Competes at the DIII Elite Meet Hosted by Nazareth

UTICA, NY - The Utica University indoor men's track and field will travel to Nazareth University for the star-studded DIII Elite Meet on Friday, February 14th at 4 p.m. and Saturday, February 15th, at 10 a.m. at the Golisano Training Center.

Double Trouble: In the Blue and Orange Invitational and Multi this past weekend, Nolan Flynn (Bethel, CT/Bethel) and Tanner Warren (Mohawk, NY/Central Valley Academy) handled business in the 200m, with the two speedsters finishing first and second respectively in a stacked field with over 128 competitors. Flynn and Warren both achieved a top time of 22:51, an excellent performance for the pair of Pioneer runners. Warren is ranked 24th overall in the TFRRS rankings in the 400m with his 49.16
 
Friday's Slate: The DIII Elite Meet kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday the 14th with a select number of events at the meet.  The team is competing in three field events: weight throw, long jump and pole vault and five track events: 5000m, 60m hurdle, 60m, Distance Medley Relay and the 4x400m.
 
Saturday's Slate: Day two kicks off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday the 15th. Field events include shot put, triple jump and high jump. Field events include the mile, 400m, 800m, 200m, and 3000m.
 
Nothing New: Hunter Logan (Fort Plain, NY/Herkimer College) had himself another dominant performance last weekend, placing second overall in shot put with a 16.32m throw. He came in second place behind Isaish Brunache of SUNY Cortland who is ranked second in the nation. Logan has placed at least third in all indoor events since last season as he also ranks top 15 nationally.
 
In the Ranks: Ellis Urgent (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall Central) is ranked 45th in the country with a 6.94m long jump. He is also one of five athletes in the top 49 that are freshmen. His score came at the Blue & Orange Invitational, earning him qualifications for the AARTFC and Empire 8. Andy Hadasz (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) is ranked 46th nationally with a 22.27 in the 200m.
