ROCHESTER, NY - Hunter Logan (Fort Plain, NY/Herkimer College) has been named Empire 8 Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. 

Hunter Logan (Fort Plain, NY/Herkimer College) took home second place hardware at the All Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Regional Championship last weekend. Logan, who was fresh off yet another Empire 8 Championship, kept up his dominant ways as he took second in a shot-put field of 23 total throwers. Logan launched a throw of 16.83 meters on his second attempt, good for second among the entire field. The Empire 8 champion's throw was much farther than the majority of the competition, with a severe drop off occurring after the third-place thrower as Logan beat the fourth ranked thrower by an entire meter and a half. This is his fourth Empire 8 Weekly Award this season.

Logan will now travel to Rochester, NY to compete in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, March 15. Start time is set for 10am.
