ROCHESTER, NY - The Men's Indoor Track & Field Team captured seven individual All-Conference selections along with the 4x400 meter relay team and the Distance Medley Team.
All Conference selections are based on Empire 8 Championship results.
Hunter Logan (Fort Plain, NY/Herkimer College) earned his fourth consecutive First Team All-Conference selection after a 15.66m throw at the Empire 8 Championships.
Tanner Warren (Mohawk, NY/Central Valley Academy) captured second team in the 200m after running the race in 22.16. Kaiden McCaskil garnered second-team with his 1.92m high jump.
Ellis Urgent (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall Central) earned a long jump of 6.99m, receiving second-team.
The Distance Medley team of
Tobias Jeralds (Canaan, NY/Chatham Central),
Tristan Vargo (East Aurora, NY/Orchard Park),
Forest Martin (Poland, NY/Poland Central) and
Bennett Melita (Johnstown, NY/Fonda Fultonville) captured second team (10:26.46).
The 4x400 meter relay team of
Tanner Warren (Mohawk, NY/Central Valley Academy),
Nolan Flynn (Bethel, CT/Bethel),
Evan Smith (Baldwinsville, NY/Baker) and
Ellis Urgent (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall Central) took third team (3:21.77)
Billie Mays III (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) was selected as the Sportsman of the Year. One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2024-25 Men's Indoor Track & Field Sportsman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.
