UTICA, NY - On the last day of March, we stepped behind the benches one more time to learn more about our Head Athletic Trainer here at Utica:
Dan Senif! Dan just finished up a great season in which he oversaw the sports medicine responsibilities for the men's hockey program on their way to the Division III National Championship Game. We spoke to Dan to learn more about him and what its like to work in the Utica sports medicine department!

Years as a Pioneer: 3.5
Years in sports medicine: 11
Alma mater(s): Vermont State Castleton and Temple University.
Did you play sports during high school or college?: Football & Baseball in HS; Football in college.
What is your favorite tape job and/or tape to use?: I enjoy knee support tape jobs with elastikon.
What is your go-to fact when you need an icebreaker?: I have broken a world record and I have never had a cavity.
What would you like Utica and the greater athletics community to know about your profession?: Athletic trainers have a keen interest in improving your health and well-being beyond just your sport of choice. We are all passionate about the work that we do and enjoy the thrill of competition from our respective places among the benches and sidelines.
As Spring gets underway and the temperature gets warm, Dan can be found helping out the Pioneer baseball team.
