UTICA, NY - The Men's outdoor track & field team saw seven first-place finishes at the Utica Spring Invitational on Sunday at Laura M. Casamento Field. The team was highlighted by
Spencer Borghardt's (Melville, NY/St.Anthony's) school record and a first-place finish in hammer throw (53.60m).

Tobias Jeralds (Canaan, NY/Chatham Central),
Theodore Tsamis (Richmondville, NY/Cobleskill-Richmondville) and
Cade Tavares (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) went 1-2-3 in the javelin throw. Jeralds placed first with a 46.17m throw, Tsamis took second (39.15m) and Tavares placed third (39.04m).

Joshua Talbot (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) placed third (53.60m) in hammer throw and
Blake Gannon (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) marked a fifth-place finish (50.25m). Gannon's throw was fifth all-time in program history.Â

Bennett Melita (Johnstown, NY/Fonda Fultonville) won the 1500m, completing the race in 4:07.75.
Anthony Leotta (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollows Hills West) took third place (4:14.57),
Forest Martin (Poland, NY/Poland Central) placed fourth (4:18.04), and
Zachary Brown (Milford, NY/Milford Central) placed fifth (4:19.81).

Chris Ganley (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) sits in 10th all-time in program history with an 11.12 in the 100m.
Ethan Kain (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford) placed third (11.21) and
Shane Wallace (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) took fourth (11.23). Wallace also ran the 200m and placed third (23.16).

Kaiden McCaskill (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) won the high jump with a 1.89m leap.Â

Ellis Urgent (Cornwall, NY/Cornwall Central) and
Kedron Golden (Atlanta, GA/Community Christian) went 1-2 in long jump. Urgent placed first and is now third all-time with a 6.89m jump followed by Golden's second place 6.39m jump.Â

Jack Rathburn (Clarendon Hills, IL/Westmont) won pole vault with a 4.30m vault which also puts him at fourth all-time in program history. He has now won seven pole vault events in three seasons.Â

Hunter Logan (Fort Plain, NY/Herkimer College) placed third in shot put, marking a 15.71m toss.
Billie Mays III (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) came in fourth place, marking a 13.67m throw.Â

Tobias Jeralds (Canaan, NY/Chatham Central) marked a third-place finish in the 5000m with a 16:14.53.

Cade Tavares (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) is now seventh all-time in the 110m hurdles after placing second with a 15.62.Â

Timothy Jeralds (Canaan, NY/Chatham Central) ran the 3000m steeplechase and placed fifth (10:46.59).

Gannon completed the meet with a third-place discus throw finish (36.12m) and
Michael Blenis (Norwich, NY/Norwich) came in fifth place with a 33.89m throw.

Utica gets set for the Cortland Classic on Friday, April 18 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, April 19 at 9 a.m.
