ROCHESTER, NY - Joshua Talbot (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) of the Utica University men;s outdoor track and field team has been named Empire 8 Co-Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. 

Joshua Talbot (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) once again broke the school record in the hammer throw, a record that has been broken in each of the last three meets, with a 57.49m toss in route to a second place finish in the invitational hammer at the Cortland Classic. 

Talbot and the Pioneers will be back in action this Friday, April 25 as the team travels to Troy, NY to take on the RPI Capital Distric Classic, hosted by RPI. Start time is to be determined.
