SCRANTON, PA - Utica University's women's wrestling team competed Tuesday night at a three-team event hosted by Lackawanna College, with Northampton Community College also in attendance. The Pioneers saw action across the 124, 180, and 207-pound weight classes, finishing the night with three victories in contested bouts.
Utica's strongest results came in the upper weights. At 207 pounds,
Natalie Enriquez (Mastic Beach, NY/William Floyd) delivered a pair of decisive performances, opening with a lightning-quick pin of Lackawanna's Hailey Schumaker just 0:16 into the bout before later adding an 11-0 technical fall against Michelle Pastuizaca. At 124,
Dakoda House (Oneonta, NY/Cherry Valley Springfield) picked up a win for the Pioneers with a fall over Northampton's Hannah Oliver at the 1:49 mark, competing through multiple bouts in a busy weight class.
The remainder of Utica's lineup faced tough opposition throughout the evening.
Octavia Dragotta (Utica, NY/Thomas R. Proctor) wrestled twice at 124 pounds against Lackawanna opponents, while
Evelyn Enriquez (Mastic Beach, NY/Miller Place) took the mat at 180 and faced a pair of falls against Lackawanna and Northampton competitors. Utica closed the night having logged multiple scoring efforts as the team wrapped up its regular-season competition.
