Last Time Out: On Friday, March 13th, three stellar Pioneers, Spencer Borghardt (Smithtown, NY/St.Anthony's), Laura Suppa (Canastota, NY/Canastota), and Allie Cary (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool), competed in the NCAA Division III Track and Field National Championships. All three Pioneers placed in the top 16 and achieved Second Team All-American honors.

Friday

Spencer Borghardt (Smithtown, NY/St.Anthony's) competed in the very first event of the championship, battling against the nation's toughest in the Men's Weight Throw. Borghardt grabbed an 11th-place finish with a long-toss of 18.06 meters. Borghardt was first seeded 13th coming into the event, climbed to the 11th spot, claiming NCAA Division III All-American Second Team honors.

Laura Suppa (Canastota, NY/Canastota) was next to take on the 60m Hurdles during an afternoon preliminary race. Suppa showcased her natural speed and grabbed 10th place with a speedy time of 8.71. However, she fell just short in competing in Saturday's finals; only the top eight were allowed to qualify for the race. Suppa was the second Pioneer to be awarded the All-American Second Team honors.

Saturday

Allie Cary (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) took front and center on Saturday as one of two sophomores to compete in the Women's Shot Put to finish out the weekend. Cary managed to take 10th place with a top toss of 13.29 meters, making a statement among the Division III's best. Cary also snagged the Pioneers' third All-American Second Team honors of the weekend.
