Pioneer Athletes Look for Last-Second Qualification at Annual FIRE Meet This Weekend

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - Last weekend, six Pioneers achieved Empire 8 glory, taking home seven different individual Empire 8 Championships. In addition, the team also saw many other athletes drop personal records and top performances, and also held the Empire 8 Female Athlete of the Meet in sophomore thrower Allie Cary (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool). This weekend, the Pioneers will be right back into the fray, as they head to Williams College to compete in the annual FIRE meet, which will provide one last opportunity for a few athletes to secure AARTFC and, potentially, NCAA Championships qualification.

The Farley Inter Regional (FIRE) Meet -This Friday and Saturday, the team will head to the Lee Track at Williams College to compete against some of the top competition in the entire northeast. The events will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday and 10:00 AM on Saturday.

Interested spectators can follow along with the meet through live results, as well as on stream. Live results can be found at milesplit.live or by heading to this link: https://milesplit.live/overall

The stream for both days can be found on nsnsports.net or by heading to this link: https://www.nsnsports.net/colleges/williams-college/. The stream will be free while live, but will be locked behind a paywall if attempted to be viewed on demand.
