2012: Padgett was honored with Empire 8 All-Conference Second-Team recognition as he finished second for UC in three of four races he participated in, including the E8 Champioships..  He tallied 59th place overall, out of 106 runners from Division I, II and III, in the season opener on 9/1/12 at the Colgate Invite… Then, on Oct 6th at the Hamilton Invite, he recorded a final time of 27:22.5 finishing 16th overall with a 5:31 average mile… He followed up with a 27th place finish at the NYSCTC Championships clocking a time of 26:50.96 before his best outing of his senior campaign at the Empire 8’s… On 10/27/12, at the conference championships, he ran to a 12th place finish with a time of 27:27.20 marking one of his best finishes at the Empire 8’s in his collegiate career. 

2011: He opened up his junior campaign with a 20th place finish, out of 44 runners, with a final time of 23:09 at the Harry Lang Invite hosted by Colgate University… Padgett returned to the course the following week and placed fourth for Utica and 16th overall at the Oswego State XC Invite with a time of 27:54… At the Purple Valley Classic, on 9/24/11, he placed 75th, out of 197 racers, with a final time of 28:37… One of his best finishes of the year came at the 2011 Empire 8 Championships with a 23rd place overall finish and a final time of 27:28 to help UC to a third place finish.

2010: Finished 19th overall at the Hamilton Invite with a time of 28:34.6 on 10/9/10… He placed 16th at the Empire 8 Championships with a time of 27:02... Padgett rounded out the season at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals in Oneonta, on 11/13/10, with a time of 27:17.8, good enough for 108th out of 268.

2009: Opened up his collegiate campaign at the Colgate Invite on 9/5/09 placing 52nd with a final time of 23:09…  Followed up with an impressive 14th place finish, out of 138 runners, at Cobleskill’s Fighting Tiger Invite, clocking a time of 29:05… Finished third for Utica and 55th overall at the Hamilton Invite on 10/10/09 with a final time of 29:15… Concluded a solid freshman campaign finishing 29th, out of 82 racers, with a time of 28:32, tallying one of his best times of the season.

Currently an accounting major, Hunter is the son of Gina and Thomas Padgett and originally from nearby New Hartford, NY
