Tom McCormick

Tom McCormick was hired as an assistant coach for the Utica College baseball team in the Summer of 2011. He will assist Head Coach Andrew Weimer with all facets of the program including recruiting, scouting, practice and game preparation.

The Utica, N.Y. native graduated from Notre Dame High School in 2007 where he was a two-sport athlete. He led the Jugglers baseball team to two sectional titles in 2005 and 2006, which included a New York State title in 2005. He continued pursuing his academic and athletic endeavors at SUNY Brockport where he recently graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

As a member of the Golden Eagles baseball program, McCormick started all four years at shortstop where he recorded 144 career hits in 148 career starts. He registered a .287 lifetime batting average (144-for-502), tallied 78 RBIs and scored 71 runs. He also tacked on 22 career doubles. He helped Brockport to a SUNYAC Title in 2010, and two coveted NCAA Tournament appearances in 2010 and 2011.

Tom currently resides in Utica, NY and also works part-time at Merrill Lynch. He is enrolled in the Economic Crime and Fraud Management MBA program at Utica College. Tom's brother Kevin was a pitcher on the Utica College baseball team for two seasons (2007-2008). He also has a brother Michael and a sister, Elizabeth. He is the son of Kevin and Rose McCormick.
