Former Colby-Sawyer College standout Adam Perron begins his third season as a member of the Pioneers’ coaching staff in 2010, serving as head coach Eric Watson's top assistant coach.
He is a 2006 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH where he earned a bachelor of science in sport management. Perron will continue working towards his master of science in liberal arts graduate degree at Utica College in the fall of 2010.
From 2006-2008, Coach Perron served as an assistant coach at his alma matter Wilbraham and Monson Academy in Wilbraham, MA. The squad finished in the top five among New England Preparatory Schools in each of his three seasons. The 2007 season concluded with a New England Tournament Championship.
As a player, Perron was a four-year starter, team captain, twice an All Commonwealth Coast Conference selection and runner up for TCCC rookie of the year at Colby-Sawyer College. He was the Chargers' Most Valuable Player his junior season and finished his career 2nd all-time in school history in victories.
Perron has an extensive background of professional playing experience. From 2006-2009, he was a member of the United Soccer League 2nd Division Western Mass Pioneers. Perron also played professionally with the Massachusetts Twisters formerly of the American Indoor Soccer League and former member of the National Indoor Soccer League. His most recent playing experience came this past summer where he was named the captain and primary starting goalkeeper for the Albany Highlanders of the PDL. He compiled a 6-2-1 record with the club as a starter including three shutouts.
Perron has served as an athlete recruiter for Velocity Sports Performance. He managed all aspects of the inside and outside sales operation as well as negotiated training contracts with local soccer, lacrosse, and football clubs. In addition, he managed to substantially grow accounts and increase sales for Soccer City in Wilbraham, MA.
He currently holds his NSCAA “National” Diploma.
