Andrew Massoud

Andrew Massoud was hired in 2008 and he is a part-time coach in charge of the defensive line for the Utica College football program. 

He accepted a teaching position in the New Hartford School district in the Fall of 2010. 

Massoud joined the Pioneers with a wealth of teaching and coaching experience after spending three and a half years as an English teacher at Greece Athena High School near Rochester, NY.  While at Greece Athena he spent three seasons as the assistant offensive line and running backs coach and he also coached modified lacrosse and varsity indoor track for the Trojans. 

He graduated from St. John Fisher College in 2004 with a degree in English and he served as class vice president.  He played three seasons on the offensive line (2000-2002) at Fisher prior to spending two years as a student assistant (2003-2004) for the Cardinals football program.  In 2005 Massoud went back to school, this time at the University of Rochester, where he earned his master’s degree in literacy in 2008. 

Born on March 1, 1982 Massoud is originally from nearby New Hartford, NY where he graduated from New Hartford High School in 2000.  During his tenure as a Spartan he played football in the fall season and he was also a member of the varsity track team in the spring. 

He currently is a member of the NYSPHFCA and the American Football Coaches Association and he resides in Utica, NY.
