Riley Drew-Cross joined Utica University as a Sports Information Athletic Assistant ahead of the 2025–26 academic year. He is pursuing an M.B.A. at Utica with a focus on cybersecurity leadership.
His sports information assignments have included men’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf, men’s cross country, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s track and field, men’s and women’s wrestling, and women’s hockey. Alongside team coverage, he assists with record books, historical research and website updates. Drew-Cross also contributes to live statistics for men’s hockey, including conference and NCAA postseason competition. He served on the statistics crew and prepared game programs for the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship hosted by Utica.
Drew-Cross graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Sport Management and a concentration in Sports Media and Technology. He previously earned an associate degree in Individual Studies from Hudson Valley Community College. At Cortland, he volunteered with the sports information office, primarily assisting with live statistics across several sports. At HVCC, he served as a student assistant to the sports information director and competed on the men’s lacrosse team.
During summer 2025, Drew-Cross interned with the Niagara Falls Americans, a collegiate summer baseball team, serving as media relations coordinator, official scorer and clubhouse manager. He also worked as an assistant clubhouse manager for the Tri-City ValleyCats during the 2023, 2024 and 2026 seasons. His experience includes facility operations at SUNY Cortland’s ice rink and his hometown rink.
A native of Hoosick Falls, New York, near the Vermont border, Drew-Cross played lacrosse, football and soccer in high school. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding, listening to music, playing video games, watching television and spending time with friends and family.
