Riley Drew-Cross was hired as a Sports Information Athletic Assistant to begin the 2025-26 academic year. In addition to his tasks in the sports information office, Riley will pursue an M.B.A. on campus.
Drew-Cross graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Cortland's Sport Management program, completing a concentration in Sports Media and Technology. Prior to Cortland, he graduated from Hudson Valley Community College with an Associate's Degree in Individual Studies. In his time in Cortland, he volunteered with the university's sports information office, mainly assisting with live statistics for several sports. While at HVCC, Riley worked as a student assistant for the school's Sports Information Director, and played on the college's men's lacrosse team. Over this previous summer, Drew-Cross interned for the Niagara Falls Americans, a collegiate summer baseball team where he served as media relations coordinator, official scorer, and clubhouse manager. In the two summers before Niagara Falls, Riley worked as an Assistant Clubhouse Manager with the Tri-City Valleycats, an independent baseball team. Riley has also worked in facility management, working at both SUNY Cortland's ice rink and his hometown ice rink.
Riley is from Hoosick Falls, New York, a small town tucked alongside the Vermont border. In high school he played several sports, such as lacrosse, football, soccer, and he snowboards. In his free time, Riley likes to listen to music, play video games, watch tv, and spend time with his friends and family.
