Junior #Brian Stevens# of the Utica College men’s cross country team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week after turning in a 24th place finish out of 294 runners at the Paul Short White Division 8k hosted by Lehigh University Friday.

Stevens, who finished with an average mile time of 5:27, posted the Pioneers’ top time of 27:00. He has been the top male finisher for Utica at all four races this season. He has placed in the top 25 in three out of four races, including two 12th place finishes.

The Pioneers return to action Saturday at the Hamilton Invitational. The race is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
