Utica, NY (10/22/12)- Junior Ridge Garbutt of the Utica College men’s ice hockey team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 28.
The Toronto, Ontario native totaled five points over the weekend as the Pioneers crushed Morrisville State and Fredonia State. On Friday, Garbutt had two goals, including the game-winner in UC’s 6-1 defeat of Morrisville. He followed that up with two goals and an assist as Utica cruised past Fredonia, 9-0.
The Pioneers return to action Saturday, Nov. 3 as they open up ECAC West play against new league member, Nazareth College. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
