Utica, NY (12-17-12) – Junior forward Chris Jeffers of the Utica College men’s basketball team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for his efforts on the hardwood this past week.

Jeffers led UC with 11 points and a game-high seven rebounds in an 82-61 loss to Union College on Tuesday evening.  He is currently second in the E8 in rebounding (8.6 p/g) and seventh in field goal (57.4%) and free throw percentage (73.3%) . The Albany, NY native opened up the season with back-to-back double-doubles and has three on the season while grabbing 10+ rebounds in four games.
